Assessment Practicum

The Assessment Practicum provides structured opportunities to apply assessment learning through report review, facilitated consultation groups, peer discussion, and clinical reasoning development. Participants submit one de-identified report for structured feedback and participate in four Online small-group consultation sessions focused on report writing, diagnostic reasoning, data integration, recommendations, and defensible clinical decision-making.

Course Description

Small-group applied consultation designed to help participants translate course learning into defensible real-world clinical decisions through discussion of one de-identified case per session, combined with structured written feedback on one submitted de-identified report using a standardized rubric and an optional brief debrief.

Includes 4 × 90-minute small-group sessions.

1. Standalone Report Review

A standalone report review provides structured written feedback on one submitted, de-identified assessment report using a standard rubric. This option is intended for participants who want focused feedback on report organization, integration, formulation, recommendations, clarity, and defensibility.

2. Consultation Lab

Professional-development consultation (not clinical supervision). Group of 4–8; de-identified cases only; participants retain responsibility for scope and competence. Part of the Assessment Practicum pathway.

Continuing Education

Lighthouse Child & Adolescent Clinical Training Institute and RMPS are not currently CPA-approved CE sponsors unless and until that status changes. Please confirm any continuing education eligibility before advertising CE credit.
